PRESS RELEASE

The Gurdjieff Foundation of Louisiana…a diverse group of New Orleanians who have been drawn together during the past 35 years by a shared wish to understand more about how we might include a movement toward an inner, spiritual life in the midst of our everyday life…announces a special 12-week series of Friday Forums entitled Awakening To Man’s Possibilities to be held in the New Orleans mid-city area during the summer of 2012. Each 90 minute Friday Forum will offer the opportunity to participate in a guided meditation, an exchange related to questions and topics of interest to those who attend, and a class of attention exercises particular to the Gurdjieff tradition. The Friday Forum series will take place at the First Universalist Unitarian Church (5212 S. Claiborne) located at the corner of Claiborne and Jefferson (enter door on Claiborne near Soniat to find Sanctuary on far right), from 6:30 to 8:00 pm, beginning on Friday, June 15th and running through and including Friday, August 31st. All events are free and open to the public. Those who are interested in the potential for finding a balance between these two streams of our existence…the call of an inner world and the flow of our day-to-day outer life… are invited to join us in our wish to include something sacred at the onset of each weekend.
